While our management company is responsible for the day-to-day running of the complex, Kingsview’s board is the policy-making body. Among other things, it makes decisions on applications, creates a budget, authorizes expenses, and sets fees and maintenance amounts.
Our board has eleven members, including four officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer). We have two-year terms, with five or six of the seats open every year. This ensures continuity on the board from year to year. Shareholders who have lived at Kingsview for two years are able to run for the board, and we have an open nominations process every year.
Kingsview values transparency. The board holds a monthly shareholder meeting (exclusive of summer months), in which they communicate relevant news and open the floor for shareholder questions. The board distributes its meeting minutes to all shareholders.
