Food & ShoppingThere are several “restaurant rows” in the neighborhood. DeKalb Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, and Fulton Street are lined with great places to eat, and nearby City Point has over 40 food vendors on the lower level.
The Fort Greene Park Greenmarket is one of the largest farmer’s markets in the city, and is at the southeast corner of Fort Greene Park every Saturday. You can find farm-fresh produce along with local cheese, bread, and even hard cider! There’s also an artisan market adjacent to the farmer’s market. Shopping for groceries is easy. A short walk away you can find Trader Joe's, New York City Market, Bravo Supermarket, Brooklyn Fare, GreenVille Garden, and Greene Grape Provisions. In addition, there are several active CSAs in the area, and several Kingsview residents sit on their boards. Myrtle Avenue, DeKalb Avenue, and Fulton Street offer many small businesses. Greenlight Bookstore is one of New York’s most well-known independent bookstores. And for everyday essentials, there's a CVS right across the street! Atlantic Terminal offers indoor shopping at retailers like Target and Uniqlo, and City Point includes Century 21, Trader Joe’s, and 40 food vendors. Macy’s other New York store is on Fulton Street.
