Education

Kingsview is in Brooklyn District 13 and is zoned for PS20, The Clinton Hill School, for Pre-K through 5th grade. The school is known for its French dual-language program and tight-knit family atmosphere. Community Roots (a charter school) is another option. Brooklyn Friends and Greene Hill are two of the private schools in the neighborhood.

There are no zoned middle schools in District 13; rather, students can select from any middle school in the district, along with several borough- and city-wide options. Bridges (MS915) is a highly sought after middle school with a progressive, exploration-based curriculum.

Fort Greene is home to Brooklyn Technical High School. It’s the largest STEM high school in the United States, and is consistently top-rated at the city, state, and country levels.

Higher education options in the area include Long Island University, Pratt Institute, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and Brooklyn Law School.
