Culture & Entertainment
Downtown Brooklyn and Fort Greene are a hub of entertainment and culture. The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) has been in the neighborhood for over 150 years, and Brooklyn Music School provides music education to adults and children alike. BRIC House and the Theatre for a New Audience recently completed their new facilities, and established institutions like the Irondale Center, the Kumble Theater, and the Mark Morris Dance Center hold down the cultural district.
Barclays Center hosts the New York Islanders and the Brooklyn Nets, along with concerts all year round. You can get your movie fix at the Regal Cinema and the Alamo Drafthouse at City Point.
